Mayor's Message

Welcome to the Town of Belvidere website.  As Mayor, it is my pleasure to offer a brief, but heartfelt introduction.  Our Town is a great place to live and locate your business or professional practice.  I can speak from experience, that there is no better place to call home.  We are blessed with wonderful churches, excellent public schools, several service clubs, swimming pool facility and an active community center.

We are pleased that our residents are involved and care about the Town.  I encourage you to come and visit, and in the process, discover the spirit of Belvidere, the county seat of Warren County.  There are a number of events and celebrations that take place throughout the year.  There is something for everyone, Victorian Days, Holiday Lighting, First Friday, veteran's events, just to mention a few.

In a continuing effort to provide excellent service to you, this website is an evolving source of information.  Its purpose is to make readily available basic information about how the Town is governed, how it operates and whom to contact when a question arises.  Often a resident has a question of curiosity or of general nature, and this website provides the platform to relay that information.  I hope that you will visit it regularly for current updates.  Our doors are always open to residents who have comments, concerns or questions as we strive to serve you. If you don't find the information you are seeking on the website, please call the Municipal Clerk's Office at 908-475-5331.  I invite your participation through calls, visits or attendance at our Town Council meetings ( the second and fourth Mondays of the month at 7:00 PM).  My commitment, along with the Town Council and the Municipal Staff, is to continue to work toward preserving the quality of life in Belvidere.

If you're already a part of our community, thank you.  If you're considering relocating your home or business to Belvidere - or simply thinking about a visit - please do.  You won't be disappointed.

Kathleen Miers, Mayor
