Environmental Commission

Our meetings are on the fourth Thursday of every month at 7:00 PM at Belvidere Town Hall, 691 Water St, Belvidere.  Belvidere Shade Tree Commission meets with us.

Belvidere Environmental Commission Mission Statement:

1.Review and provide comment to land development applications to ensure compliance with
local, state and federal environmental regulations and identify any environmental concerns
relative to proposed land development;
2.Review and provide comment to any proposed property use changes relative to potential
environmental concerns, including property use restrictions, to ensure protection of human
health and the environment;
3.Track and follow-up on approved property development plans to ensure adherence to plan
approvals relative to environmental concerns; and 
4. Interact with Town Council, Planning Board, and Town Engineer, as necessary, to ensure
compliance  with any matters relative to environmental concerns to ensure protection of human
health and the environment.
