Snow/Ice emergency declarations are determined by the Belvidere Police Department in conjunction with the Department of Public Works. Dependent on the weather predictions, an emergency may be called several hours prior to the event. We make every effort to give ample time to find alternate parking. Emergency declarations will be posted on this site and an emergency phone message will be sent out to those who participate in the RAVE system. To join RAVE (getrave.com/login/warrenco), see the bottom of this site's homepage (if you are having issues getting to the RAVE system, please call the Municipal Clerk's Office for assistance, 908-475-5331). The emergency declaration will give the date and time by which vehicles must be removed from the streets. Snow emergency alternate parking is available in the Riverside Park parking lot (entrance on Water Street) and in the municipal parking lot at the corner of Water and Market Streets. If using these parking areas, please remove your vehicle as soon as your street has been cleared and on-street parking becomes available so that the parking lots can be cleared. Violators of any emergency parking declaration will be ticketed and towed (at the owner's expense). The cost for an emergency parking violation is $75.00 per occurrence plus additional fees for towing.

If there is a fire hydrant near your property, please help out by keeping it clear.
